Thank you for your interest in participating in an online survey investigating what durations of antibiotics companion animal veterinarians commonly prescribe for two diseases: urinary tract infections and respiratory infections.
The information collected from this survey will help us determine what antibiotic durations are most prescribed and what factors impact duration selection. Fiona Emdin, DVM, and Nick Daneman, MD, at the University of Toronto, are leading this project.
- Your participation in this survey is voluntary, and all responses will be anonymous.
- You can withdraw from the survey at any time by stopping the survey.
- Once you have submitted the survey, you will not be able to withdraw your responses.
- The survey will take 10 minutes of your time to complete
- We will ask you questions about the duration of antibiotics you would prescribe for different clinical scenarios. You can skip any questions you don’t want to answer.
We will publish the findings in an academic article, and we may also share these findings at conferences and with other professional organizations like the CVMA and CVO. If you have any questions regarding the survey, please contact Fiona Emdin (Fiona.emdin@mail.utoronto.ca). This project has received ethics clearance from the University of Toronto’s Ethics Review Board.
