Tompkins County Workforce Development-SYEP

WORKSITE APPLICATION - Summer Youth Employment (SYEP) 2026

The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is the nation’s largest summer work initiative, providing employers with six weeks of paid work experience placements for youth ages 14–20 at no cost to participating organizations.
Through SYEP, employers gain access to a diverse pipeline of emerging talent while reducing recruitment and onboarding costs. Participants arrive prepared with foundational workplace skills and benefit from structured learning and work-based experiences that support their growth and readiness.
Partnering with SYEP is a direct investment in Tompkins County's economic future. It allows businesses and organizations of all sizes to strengthen their workforce, reflect the communities they serve, and play a leadership role in developing the next generation of workers.
