Introduction

The objective of the document is to provide guidance to registrants related to client-centred care and preserving the dignity of all clients. The goal is to provide information that will assist nurses to meet the standards and code of ethics/ethical conduct of their profession.

The document is intended as a principle-based guidance document. As such, it does not establish specific policies or provide detailed how-to instructions. Your feedback will assist in decisions about whether additional guidance for nurses might be beneficial in the future.
