The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) along with its partners in PA’s child and youth serving systems are seeking applications from youth, family, and system partners to serve on the State Leadership and Management Team (SLMT).  Interested people who have a vested interest in improving the lives of youth and families as well as improving cross-system functioning may apply.  System partners include: Education, child welfare, juvenile justice, drug and alcohol systems, behavioral health, physical health, early intervention, intellectual disabilities, and the courts and are encouraged to apply.

The purpose of the SLMT is to provide direction, voice, and leadership in the form of advising policy development and planning, financing and monitoring the following grants.
  • Pennsylvania Care Partnership
The SLMT will also work closely with the Youth and Family Training Institute Advisory Board, the Community of Practice on School-Based Behavioral Health, and the Mental Health Planning Council to ensure coordination across all initiatives.

Our goal is to assure that the SLMT reflects the diversity of Pennsylvania. We are seeking members of different ages, gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic background and geographic location among other qualifications. It is important that we select members who represent the diversity of Pennsylvania as well as those who have a significant and extensive understanding of the behavioral health system, the educational system, the child welfare, drug and alcohol, and/or juvenile justice system.
