The nonprofit Tierra Contenta Corporation wants your opinions and ideas for planning the development of 227 acres of undeveloped land. The tract is located southwest of Capitol High School. The plans call for 1,150 new housing units, a new elementary school, land for public facilities/retail businesses, one larger park, five "pocket" parks, and a network of internal walking-cycling trails that connect to trails and the nearby Swan Park.

Tierra Contenta Corporation originally owned all of the land in the first two phases of Tierra Contenta, which now has over 2,300 homes in addition to schools, recreational facilities, and trails.  Parcels were sold to builders and others who took charge of the developments.  Design guidelines guided the size and looks of buildings, roads and landscaping and the prices of some homes in order to make the community livable, attractive, and affordable.

Below, see our current draft land use plan.  Use the "back" arrow if you want to refer back to it while you are looking at different questions.
