Welcome to St. Paul's Strategic Reorientation Survey

Like all churches, we have experienced tremendous change in recent years.

There have been changes and challenges related to history and our location, as well as broader cultural shifts in church attendance, economics and politics, and social connection. These shifts preceded -- but were all amplified by -- the pandemic.

When we returned in full to St. Paul’s following the pandemic, we finally experienced the whole of being with our new clergy, new members of our church, and the changes to our spaces and our story brought about by our racial reconciliation work.

We look forward to 2024 and beyond with a sense of optimism about our opportunities to understand the way these challenges and changes have shaped who we are becoming as a community centered by faith.

To deepen our shared understanding, we have held four focus groups, two working meetings with staff and clergy, a conversation with our vestry, and multiple project team work sessions over the past several months. We are so appreciative of the input and perspectives you have shared. Now, as we "turn the corner" on our Strategic Reorientation and prepare to identify a focused set of priorities for our shared future,  we'd like to hone in on several key areas that have emerged as priorities across our conversations.

We appreciate your time, and your candor, as you continue to help us orient our church around the areas of opportunity and change that feel most critical to the St. Paul community.

Sincerely,

Marti Truman
Senior Warden
