HCRA Consumer Advisory Panel - Expression of Interest

HCRA acknowledges the importance of actively involving consumers in cancer research and in 2016 established a panel of local consumer advocates to facilitate this process.

Members of the HCRA Consumer Advisory Panel (CAP) receive a quarterly newsletter and invitations to join specific projects such as funding panels or workshops to assist researchers with the development of lay summaries of their research. You have the option to choose what projects you would like to be involved in.

No specific background or training is required to become a member of the CAP, but you will be encouraged and supported to attend consumer involvement in research training. Your lived experience of cancer will inform your advice, guidance and recommendations to HCRA research members.
