APA Ontario's Student Bursaries: 2025

You are eligible to apply for one of APA's student bursaries if you are:

- an APA Ontario member in good standing;
- a part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate student who is currently enrolled in courses pertaining to the study of cultural resource management and which are relevant to the discipline of Archaeology/CRM in Ontario and its closely related fields of knowledge (i.e. Indigenous studies, applied landscape GIS, etc);
- specific to the Indigenous Student Bursary -- you are affiliated with a First Nations, Métis or Inuit community

Award amount: $750. The funding from this spring round of bursaries can be used by you to support your 2025-26 tuition fees, or your 2025 summer course (like a reimbursement).

Next, you will be contacted by APA and asked to provide:
- a brief statement of your experience and goals: 500 - 1,000 words outlining the your interests, experience (as a volunteer or paid employee) in Ontario archaeology and its related fields, plans (course of study, ideal employment stream) for the future, and affiliated First Nation, if applicable; and,
- two brief recommendations from (i) a professor/TA and (ii) an employer/supervisor/Band employee, who will be asked to speak to your archaeological/cultural heritage interests/knowledge/experience and future plans.
