Expression of Interest: Redlands Regional Jobs Committee (RJC)

Term: Nov 2025 – Oct 2026 (1-year, with possible extension)

Thank you for your interest in joining the Redlands RJC. By submitting this Expression of Interest (EOI), you’re confirming your commitment to strengthening the Redlands Coast community and economy 'jobs and skilling' outcomes. This role helps drive place-based workforce solutions for our region.

What you’ll do as a Redlands RJC committee member, you will:
  • Contribute to committee discussions and decision-making.
  • Provide strategic direction across workforce and skilling initiatives.
  • Help plan and deliver the agreed RJC Action Plan.
  • Support the RJC Chairperson and Project Manager.
  • Work alongside the Queensland Government and collaborate with the Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce and other key stakeholders.
Commitment: This is a voluntary (unpaid) role. Please allow ~10 hours per month towards Redlands RJC contributions.

About the Redlands RJC: The Redlands RJC is funded and supported by the Queensland Government and is one of 12 RJC's across Queensland. Since 2020 our Redlands RJC has been driven by locals, for locals, under the guidance of the Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce. Our Redlands RJC is led by an Independent Chairperson, jointly selected by the Chamber and the Queensland Government.

Committee member responsibilities:
  • Contribute to RJC discussions.
  • Guide strategy and workforce/skilling initiatives.
  • Help plan and deliver the agreed RJC Action Plan.
  • Represent the RJC at key events and strengthen collaboration across industry, training providers, schools, government and community leaders.
  • Full Terms of Reference will be finalised with input from the incoming committee.
Meetings:
  • Quarterly, Tuesdays 3:30–7:30 pm (meal included).
  • Always held in the Redlands (rotating venues).
  • First meeting: Tue 20 Jan 2026, 3:30–7:30 pm, venue TBC.
EOI details:
  • Time to complete: ~15–30 minutes.
  • Closing date: COB Wednesday, 3 December 2025.

  • Assessment: EOI's will be reviewed ASAP by the RJC Chairperson, Project Manager, the Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce, and the Queensland Government’s Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET).
