Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

According to The Book of Resolutions of the United Methodist Church, congregations are encouraged to develop a team to support health and wholeness as a guiding factor in why we make disciples.   The United 2 Serve Parish is developing a Health and Wholeness  Ministry that will be led by Lynda Nester, RN.  Lynda has a Health Minister certificate through Wesley Theological Seminary and a certificate as a Faith Community Nurse through WVU and the Westberg institute.  You can reach Lynda through the church office at 724-258-7054.

Components of a whole person health ministry include:

·         Health related behaviors (diet, nutrition, exercise)

·         Physiological (cancer, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure)

·         Mental/Emotional (anxiety, loneliness, mental health)

·         Spiritual/Psychological health (Grief/loss, hospitalization)
