Grants of up to $3,000 (maximum 60% of the project cost) are available for eligible electrification or energy efficiency projects until the available funds are expended – so apply now!
Eligibility Criteria:· Registered business operating in a physical location in the Waverley Local Government Area
· Less than 40 employees
· Product is installed by a licensed electrician and/or plumber.
· Project replaces:
- Gas appliance with electric OR
- Electric appliance with new and delivers a 30% efficiency improvement.
Notes:(1) The grant is not available to home-based businesses, businesses on Council-owned property or sites subject to a demolition clause.
(2) Contact Waverley Council at secondnature@waverley.nsw.gov.au if you need support with calculating the efficiency improvement of your proposed project.
(3) Multiple upgrades can be applied for to a total value of $3000 (maximum 60% of project cost). To apply for more than one project, you will need to submit a second application form.
(4) Purchase and installation must be within the 2025/26 financial year.
(5) Grants will be available until the grant funding has been fully allocated, or by 30 June 2026.
Step 1: Complete the Expression of Interest.
You will need:
- A recent electricity and gas bill (if gas is connected)
- A photo of the old appliance you wish to upgrade
Step 2: Council will contact you to discuss and will request some more information.You will need:
- A recent quote for the intended upgrade (< 6 months)
- A rates notice as proof of property ownership (owner)
- A 2-year lease agreement with landlord approval (renter)
- Landlord approval for upgrade (renter)
Step 3: Council pre-approves grant.Step 4: Business installs upgrade within 12 weeks of pre-approval.You will need:
- Proof of purchase.
