Eligible applicants: Counties, cities, villages, townships, intermediate school districts, and community colleges in the seven-county Southeast Michigan region (Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw, and Wayne).
SEMCOG is pleased to announce fiscal year 2027 funding for the
Planning Assistance Program, which provides funding for local planning that moves regional plans and priorities forward. For FY2027, SEMCOG is prioritizing multi-community and regionally impactful planning projects related to the following key topics of regional significance:
1. Transportation Accessibility, Safety, and Multimodal Corridor Planning
2. Streetscapes and Pedestrian Focused Placemaking Planning
3. Trails and Greenways Planning
4. Stormwater Management Planning
5. Multi-Community Corridor Planning
The maximum grant request is $45,000 (18.15% local match) for single-community projects and $75,000 (18.15% local match) for multi-community corridor projects. Those interested in submitting an application are encouraged to review the
