Hello! Speaking at Connect offers you the opportunity to highlight your knowledge and share your expertise with the contractor attendees. These sixty-minute, information-filled sessions provide awareness, familiarity and the means for heightening your company’s exposure.

Presentations are to follow a non-sales-oriented format; company slides containing contact information are permitted at the end of each presentation. The supplying of presentation summary hand-outs prior to your session is encouraged as is the provision of non-sales oriented related publications, videos, workbooks and appropriate links that support subject matter.

Sessions must be structured to:
  • Heighten awareness of industry trends
  • Provide solutions to Contractors’ “pain points”
  • Expand Contractors’ knowledge and resources
  • Increase Contractors’ comfort levels with today’s business challenges

* Title: This is an attendee’s first impression of your presentation. Is it informative, engaging and compelling? Does it accurately reflect the session topic? Is it short and to the point?

* Session Description: A well‐written session description clearly identifies the purpose and intent of the session. It also piques the interest of the attendee and encourages them to attend. This information will be used when marketing the course to potential attendees. An effective session description should:
  • Define the content and the learner outcomes (what will they learn)
  • Clarify the relevancy of the topic (why they need to know it)
  • Highlight the benefits of attending the session (how they will apply the information in their current role)

* Learning Objectives: Learning objectives must be able to fulfill the following proposition - “upon completion of this session, attendees will know how to…”. These vital components may begin with action verbs such as:
  • Define
  • Associate
  • Distinguish
  • Apply
  • Recognize

Biographies and headshots must be included with all submissions. Bios should be brief, written in paragraph form, and focused on credentials and professional expertise related to the proposed topic. All presenters are required to submit their company background along with two to three references from past presentations. Sample videos are also encouraged. Selection Process

Speakers are “vetted” as is presentation content, not the speaker’s company or organization. Speakers accepted are expected to honor their commitment to present the proposed session at the time of acceptance; speakers who are accepted must be the presenter(s). Travel, accommodations and related fees are the responsibility of the presenter. PHCC will provide on-site audio visual equipment; speaker must supply laptop.

Notifications of acceptance will be sent after February 15, 2026. Sessions will be selected, based on scheduling and space requirements.

Power points, hand-outs and supporting documents for accepted sessions must be received for review by PHCC no later than September 1, 2026.
