RE: WEAN - Evaluating Practices in REhabilitation during WEANing From Mechanical Ventilation

Introduction

Dear participant,

This survey aims to complement and build upon the findings of the global observational study WEAN SAFE. While WEAN SAFE has provided valuable insights into the general practices and outcomes associated with weaning from mechanical ventilation, our survey will specifically focus on the role of rehabilitation during this critical phase. This survey seeks to collect data on the current practices, challenges, and decision-making processes of ICU professionals regarding rehabilitation strategies during weaning from mechanical ventilation.
This survey is intended for healthcare professionals who work in the ICU. This includes a multidisciplinary group of physicians at various levels of responsibility and expertise, such as medical directors, physiotherapists, senior physicians, attending consultants, nurses and assistant physicians.
It will take you about 19 minutes to complete the survey.
This survey complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union to ensure the confidentiality and protection of your data. Participation in this survey is voluntary, and no personal identifiable information will be collected. All responses will be used solely for the purposes of this research project.
The database will be hosted on the secure servers of the Clinical Data Management Unit (CDMU) at University of Genova. The unit acts as Data Processor; the PI is the Data Controller. All technical maintenance is carried out by the database administrator, while GDPR oversight is provided by the Data Protection Officer.
