Introduction: Brief description of request for partnership

Credit Builders Alliance (CBA) is seeking proposals from organizations with a demonstrated commitment to serving formerly incarcerated and other justice-exposed individuals, referred to in this survey as "returning citizens". In 2018, CBA will host three (3) full-day convenings, in various geographic regions across the U.S. The goal of the convenings is to connect with CBA members, non-profits, municipal leaders, funders, and other stakeholders (including returning citizens) supporting the pre- and post-release efforts of those who are justice exposed. We hope that the convenings will offer an opportunity for groups to explore in depth credit building and entrepreneurship as strategies that are integral in reintegration and recidivism-prevention efforts.

This application is a request for proposals from groups intentionally working with this population and who have interest in being CBA’s organizing partner for one of the three events. CBA will provide a $2,500 grant to host sites to help defray the staff time and support required to support organizing the convening in their locale. Applications are due by February 9, 2018.
