Criteria for Selection
Information provided on this application will be used to select scholarship recipients. Please respond to each item as completely and accurately as possible. To qualify for a REOMAC scholarship, the applicant must:
  • Be a family member related to a current REOMAC Member
  • Be a US citizen or permanent resident
  • Be enrolled with a minimum of nine credit hours at an accredited post-secondary school
  • Have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale
  • Have completed at least one grading term of a post-secondary program or be a high school senior
  • going directly to post-secondary school
How to Apply
  • Read the instructions thoroughly
  • Apply online
  • Complete all sections of the application and essay
  • Gather and submit all necessary documentation

Reasons for Disqualification
  • The application has not been completed by June 15, 2020
  • Fraudulent responses are discovered in the application, essay or eligibility requirements
  • Eligibility requirements are not met including enrolled units or GPA
  • Submitted multiple applications for the same year

Judging
Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of:
  • Academic achievement
  • Financial need
  • Volunteer work completed in the past 2 years
  • Extracurricular activities
  • Community involvement
  • Quality of the application, including spelling, grammar, content
  • Essay content, including quality of writing, work count, etc.
  • Complete Application Includes:
  • Completed online application
  • Transcripts from current/last school enrolled - transcripts don't have to be sealed official copy, but must be from the school
  • Letters of Recommendation (minimum of 2 must be submitted)
  • A student photo

Notification
Applicants who receive a scholarship will be contacted and provided with information on how to claim funding. All applicants will receive a letter notifying them of council's decision. REOMAC Foundation scholarship winners are chosen once per year.

If you are awarded a scholarship, REOMAC may ask for you to make a short video or write a brief note outlining what receiving the scholarship has meant to you as well as use your photo and college name to promote the REOMAC Foundation scholarship program. If you are not comfortable with this, please notify info@reomac.org

Deadlines
Application deadline is June 15, 2020. Please complete the scholarship application as thoroughly
and clearly as possible. Submit the application, essay and all documentation to REOMAC before the deadline.
