Plant Design Award Entry Form guidelines
Entry deadline - August 15, 2024
Entries submitted in this category should be for a project demonstrating effective plant design and use of color and all season interest. There is an emphasis on the design element, and communication with the client. This award may have subcategories for annual gardens, perennial gardens or a mix.
Typical entries include gardens as part of residential or commercial properties, container or low water use gardens.
All current, regular ALCC member companies are eligible to enter into this category. Must be a current member with a membership expiration date of June 30, 2024 or later.
Entry guidelines and procedures
Select a project you believe merits the award for this category.
Complete the entry form on the following pages. You will be able to return to the form if you are not able to complete your entry in one sitting. Please note, you will need to use the same device in order to access your saved entry form.
The majority of the work done on the project (50% or more) must be completed by the company submitting this entry form. If two companies are submitting an entry jointly, they must both be ALCC members.
You will be asked to submit no more than 10 color photos that demonstrate the project. Your entry is not considered complete until your photos are submitted.
Each entry must include a signature of release. Photos become the property of ALCC. ALCC reserves the right to utilize all submitted photos for the awards program and/or other promotional and publicity purposes. ALCC accepts no responsibility for copyrights or photogenic fees.
Please note, if your project is selected as a finalist in this category, you will be asked to provide photo credits.
Judging criteria Your entry will be judged on the following:
innovation in the design process and communication of ideas that evolved into the final product that was built.
Design and plant material - harmonious with site and architecture, degree of difficulty, uniqueness, constraints. Plant selection, quality and placement.
Ability to meet customer goals and considerations for the site.
