Call for Nominations for Open Position on the Section on Ophthalmology Executive Committee - 2016 |
We are currently calling for nominations for one (1) open position on the AAP Section on Ophthalmology Executive Committee. Dr. Geoff Bradford, who has served two consecutive 3 year terms as a member of the Section Executive Committee, will complete his service on October 31, 2016. The role of the new Executive Committee member will begin on November 1, 2016. The term is for three years (and renewable one time for an additional three years). The role and responsibilities of Section Executive Committee members are described at: http://downloads.aap.org/DOSP/ECMDescription.pdf. The election will take place in March 2016.
Nominations are being accepted through January 4.
Any interested candidate is asked to self-nominate by completing the online nomination form that follows. Every candidate must be up to date with their National AAP membership and be a member of the Section. Candidate information will be shared with the Section Nominations Committee, who will weigh in on the nominations received and make their decision on ballot selections by mid-January. Typically three candidates are chosen for the election ballot.
