Introduction
Survey Purpose:
RDA Orana is surveying businesses to understand better the level of innovation, skills, labour and training needs faced by businesses in the Orana region. The findings of the research will be used to develop strategies and lobby for policy changes to improve outcomes for regional businesses.
RDA Orana assessed skill shortages in the region in 2014, however, the focus of the report was very much about the skills of employees. This research has been valuable for securing funding to address skills shortages.
The 2017 survey will enable us to update and expand the research with current information and re-evaluate strategies to overcome issues associated with business skills, innovation, labour shortages and access to training.
