Original Local Option Tax Proposed Ballot Language

The Ketchum City Council’s current proposal is to increase LOT by 2% on Lodging and short-term rentals, .5% on retail sales, and .5% on building materials. During Council meetings this summer, they will be reviewing and approving the proposed ballot language that will ask voters to renew Original LOT and approve the changes. If they decide to move forward, the measure would go before Ketchum voters during the November 2026 election. The City Council is also seeking community input throughout this process and encourages residents, business owners, and other stakeholders to share their feedback as the proposal is considered.
