Application to the Program
The Bioscience Postdoc Educational Leadership Program is designed to give UCLA postdoctoral scholars in bioscience-related disciplines exposure to teaching and course development. There are 9 slots in Fall quarter (late Sept-early Dec, 2017) and another 9 slots in Winter quarter (early Jan-mid Mar, 2018).
Fall Quarter Applicants:
Spots for the Fall quarter program will be awarded on a rolling basis during the week of September 18.
Winter quarter applicants:
Thank you for registering your interest early. I will contact you in early December to confirm that you are still interested and available. A second call for Winter applicants will go out at that time if there are still additional spots remaining, you do not need to apply again.
In addition to 2 training and course review meetings, each participant is assigned a 3-week block of course observation. Be advised you will need to allot 8 hours to the program per week during this 3-week period (usually Tues-Friday, 2-4pm). In the application, you can indicate your preferred block based on schedule and course content. Right now, we are especially recruiting for Fall quarter, but you can indicate your interest in Winter quarter, too.
