Primary Qualifications:


  • Excellent professional customer service and communication skills, written and verbal
  • There are physical and mental requirements for this job.
  • Applicants need to be able to handle and understand pet behaviors of all sizes and all temperaments including high energy dogs and cats while remaining calm under pressure, using positive reinforcements, gentle, encouraging corrections with animals
  • Able to physically lift 50lbs, and walk for 8 hours a day
  • Able to commit to more than one year with company for animal bonding reasons 
  • Work outside in every type of weather, heat, snow, ice, dark etc.
  • Can follow written and verbal communications/directions (mental requirement)
  • Pay attention to detail, take initiative, responsible, honest, and hard working
  • Degree: High School Diploma or equivalent, 18 years or older 
  • This job has a requirement to drive; employees need to be willing and able to drive for half of the working day. Applicants must have their own vehicle. Once job is accepted there is a requirement to maintain a valid driver’s licenses, insurance and a registered vehicle 
  • Have a smart phone or other mobile device to send and receive messages and pictures in the field with unlimited data and texts
  • Punctual, responsible, motivated, loyal, and organized
  • Able to flourish with a changing flexible schedule, with good time management skills
  • Pass a criminal background check, hands-on test, and display good judgment decisions 
  • Be neat and clean in appearance and work areas – cleaning is a requirement 
  • Able to adhere to a strict confidentiality agreement

Preferred qualifications

·         Large dog experience required

·         Experience with a variety of animals and temperaments

·         Farm Experience

·         Computer Word/Excel/PowerPoint
