This survey is designed for current or beginning farmers specializing in locally produced vegetables, fruits, specialty grains, honey, dairy, eggs, and/or meat.
FARRMS and the Common Enterprise Development Corporation will use the survey results to examine the market, financial, and technical feasibility of a North Dakota food hub. A food hub in North Dakota would work with producers to actively manage the aggregation, distribution, processing, and marketing of source-identified food products.
As a producer or potential producer of local foods, you have been selected to participate in this survey to assist us in:
1) Understanding current opportunities, challenges, and barriers in local food production and distribution.
2) Determining producer interest in scaling-up business strategies to meet the demand for local foods.
3) Gauging interest in developing a producer-led organization to utilize the end business model.
Your cooperation in completing this survey is greatly appreciated and you have the option of remaining anonymous during the process.
Thank you for your involvement in creating a vibrant local foods economy.
