Newbury Town Forest Survey

The Leach family has allowed access to Tucker Mountain for over four decades. For the past couple years, they have been talking with the Vermont Land Trust about selling their forestland on both sides of Tucker Mountain Road to the Town of Newbury.  They have generously offered the land to the Town at half of fair market value to become a 635-acre Town Forest to include Tucker and part of Woodchuck Mountains. The majority of the funds needed for the Town to own the land have already been raised, but the Town must contribute about $25,000.

By answering this survey, you will weigh in as a Newbury resident about the opportunity presented for the Newbury community.

Thank you for helping direct the future of this forestland and your town!
