APPLICATION

Event Info: Thursday, March 25, 2027, 9:00am-1:00pm at the Oklahoma Zoo and Botanical Garden.
Kindergarten classes are invited to apply to participate as special guests at Read Across Oklahoma. Due to available space, not all applicants will be selected.

Participating classes will receive:
  • Zoo Admission for students plus two teachers
  • Provided lunches for students plus two teachers
  • A copy of the featured book for every student and the classroom
  • Special visit and book reading with featured author Kelly Bennett
  • Opportunities to explore the Zoo and enjoy a day centered around reading and learning
Schools are responsible for providing their own transportation.

Application deadline: December 31, 2026
Selected schools will be notified by January 30, 2027.

Each kindergarten classroom must submit a separate application, even if multiple classrooms are applying from the same school. This ensures we have the correct teacher contact information for each class. Applications that combine more than one classroom will not be considered.

If your school requires all kindergarten classrooms to attend field trips together, please make sure each classroom submits its own application.
