Thank you for your interest in either nominating someone or yourself to serve as a member of the RAIN Board of Directors. Serving on the RAIN board is a rewarding experience. It will provide an opportunity for personal and professional growth and an opportunity to elevate small and rural communities and help foster inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystems & economies. 

Applications will be used by the Board Selection Committee to identify and evaluate potential board candidates. Please submit this nomination form before midnight, February 11, 2022. All nominees will be contacted by a member of the Selection Committee after the deadline. If selected, the board member will begin his/her/their term in March/April 2022. You may be contacted by a member of the RAIN Board of Directors Selection Committee if we have more questions.

Please review the following information before completing the nomination form to better understand the commitment to serving on the RAIN Board of Directors:

BOARD MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Serve a minimum three-year term on the board. Eligible to serve up to two (2) three-year terms, if re-elected. 
2. Contribute at least three (3) hours a month to RAIN advocacy and board responsibilities. 
3. Attend at least 75% of RAIN Board of Directors meetings annually (4 - 6 meetings are held annually).
4. Participate on at least one (1) sub-committee of the board.
5. Attend a minimum of two (2) RAIN events each year (virtually or in-person).
6. Make a serious commitment to helping RAIN expand nationally and internationally. 
7. Help connect RAIN to other potential partners to maximize our reach and impact nationally and internationally.
8. Stay informed about committee matters, prepare for meetings, and review and comment on minutes and reports. 
9. Build a collegial working relationship with other board members and committee members to create a consensus. 
10. Participate in the advancement of RAIN’s strategic plan, including fundraising where appropriate.
11. Serve as an ambassador to RAIN’s mission and vision.

Revise la siguiente información antes de completar el formulario de nominación para comprender mejor el compromiso de formar parte de la Junta Directiva de RAIN:

RESPONSABILIDADES DE LOS MIEMBROS DE LA JUNTA DIRECTIVA:

1. Servir un término mínimo de tres años en la junta. Si es reelegido puede servir hasta dos (2) términos de tres años.
2. Contribuir con al menos tres (3) horas al mes a las responsabilidades de la Junta Directiva y la promoción de RAIN.
3. Asistir al menos al 75% de las reuniones de la Junta Directiva de RAIN anualmente (se llevan a cabo de 4 a 6 reuniones al año).
4. Participar en al menos un (1) subcomité de la junta.
5. Asistir a mínimo dos (2) eventos RAIN cada año (virtualmente o en persona).
6. Asumir un compromiso serio para ayudar a RAIN a expandirse a nivel nacional e internacional.
7. Ayudar a conectar RAIN con otros potenciales socios para maximizar nuestro alcance e impacto a nivel nacional e internacional.
8. Mantenerse informado sobre los asuntos del comité, prepararse para las reuniones, revisar y comentar las actas y los informes.
9. Construír una relación de trabajo colegiada con otros miembros de la junta y miembros del comité para crear un ambiente de  consenso.
10. Participar en la promoción del plan estratégico de RAIN, incluido el recaudo de fondos cuando sea necesario.
11. Sirvir como embajador de la misión y visión de RAIN.
