EPEE Gapometer Project: Survey of European Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Contractors

This survey is being carried out to assess progress towards the EU HFC phase-down targets.

In 2015 EPEE developed a Road Map to show how the challenging European HFC phase-down targets in 2018 and 2021 can be achieved.  The Road Map was based on various assumptions about the current and future use of refrigerants in key parts of the refrigeration and air-conditioning (RAC) market.  This survey will test the input assumptions used in relation to (a) the retrofit of R-404A equipment and (b) the recovery and re-use of refrigerants.  The results will highlight whether there is a risk that the phase-down will not be achieved.

EPEE will be very grateful for your participation in this survey.  It will provide vital information that will help EPEE support the RAC industry through the HFC phase-down process.  All participants in the survey will receive a copy of the final report as soon as it is available.

CONFIDENTIALITY:  The data you provide will be treated in total confidence.  The raw data will only be seen by Gluckman Consulting who are carrying out the survey on behalf of EPEE.  None of the raw data will be passed to EPEE or any other company or individual.  The data you provide will be used to build an overall picture of progress related to refrigerant recovery and re-use.  No individual responders will be identified.  The results to be published will be based on aggregated figures from all responders.
