What is Chorley YZ?

Chorley Youth Zone will be a high quality facility open to all of the young people of Chorley between the ages of 8 to 19 (25 with disabilities or learning difficulties). It will be built on Railway Street, where The Arts Partnership and Leigh Arms currently stands.

The Youth Zone will be somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to for all the young people of Chorley.

Annual membership to the Youth Zone will be £5, with each visit to the Club costing young people just 50p; it will be open 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.

Chorley Youth Zone will work in partnership with the private sector, local authority, young people and of course, young people.

What facilities will Chorley YZ have?

Chorley Youth Zone will offer young people a wide range of activities, including sport, fitness, dance, arts, music and media.  The Youth Zone will include a two-court sports hall with facilities for indoor tennis, badminton, football, netball, basketball and much more. There will also be a fitness suite with the latest gym equipment and a multi-use 3G pitch area.

The facility will also have a kitchen and café area selling healthy food and drink, multi-purpose areas for dance, music, arts and crafts, gaming and DJ-ing, martial arts and boxing facilities.
