March is Women’s History Month and Councilmember Esmeralda Soria is excited to host her 7th Annual Women of the Year awards. We will recognize exceptional women who embody courage, hard work, and are passionate about strengthening our community. I hope you will tell us about the remarkable women who live, work, or volunteer in District One and deserve more appreciation for all they are doing to make Fresno and District One a better place.
District One encompasses areas in West Central Fresno, Tower District, Fresno City College, Central High School, Fresno High School, Highway City, Inspiration Park, Quigley Park, Lions Park, and neighborhoods west of Highway 99. A person must be nominated for one of seven categories. The categories include business, community engagement/advocacy, education, health & wellness, youth (ages 14-22), arts & culture, and public safety/military.
Nominations are due on Tuesday, March 2, 2021!
