Organic Land Network Landowner Survey
The Certified Organic Producers Cooperative has formed an Organic Land Network Group to expand the organic land base on PEI.
Our objectives are to improve soil health, promote certified organic methods, and ensure farmland is accessible to farmers (in particular, new farmers and COPC members). Our vision is to become leaders in sustainable land stewardship through innovative practices and economic impact, and to grow the organic industry on PEI to 80,000 acres in 2030. Our mission is to find a model that will connect farmers and farmland owners, provide value to landowners, and improve the health and productivity of farmland ecosystems.

We are exploring a farmland lease and stewardship service that would provide the following services to farmland owners:
- Manage farmland owned by non-farmers and find suitable farmers to lease the land;
- Collect crop and soil information and submit annual reports to landowners; and
- Oversee lease arrangements and ensure sustainable agricultural practice standards are met.
This survey is to create a list of farmland owners who are interested in partnering with us.
