FDA Request

The FDA is working to identify drugs important for the care and management of hospitalized patients with COVID-19, particularly for those managed in the intensive care units. Input from health care providers in hospitals help to identify drugs that may be at risk of a regional or national shortage and specifically, the input is needed from physicians and practitioners who are familiar with the care management that would be related to questions about these drugs.

These questions would arise on a case by case basis and may occur every 2-4 weeks or even less frequently. The voluntary responses provided will be used to help ensure drugs critical to the care of COVID-19 patients remain available to meet the needs of your hospital and our nation.

The FDA is seeking 2-3 contacts for the major hospitals in each of the 50 states who are managing COVID-19 patients in critical care settings and possibly representing regional differences within state (such as central, rural, metropolitan).
