We want to know what the business community thinks is the most influential nonprofit organization in the Central Iowa region.
We're asking voters to look at nonprofit organizations' total influence on our community. In past years, we've asked specifically about the influence of an organization's board, but while having a strong board is generally a critical component of an organization's ability to have influence, board strength is just one factor of many that should be used to evaluate the influence these organizations wield.
Please consider the role an organization plays in setting the agenda for the community, delivering needed or missing services and inspiring the community to a bigger and better future.
From your responses, we'll tally up the votes and reveal in the Book of Lists who you think are the top 25 most influential nonprofit organizations and publish a list of their board members.
Feel free to write in a vote by selecting "other" in question one. The list of organizations available to choose from was compiled based on votes received in previous years and suggestions from the community.
Voting closes at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16.
