Join us on September 10 for a two-hour Discovery Walk exploring the fascinating world of bats and their important role in our environment. Jennifer Reddell, Conservation Biologist with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Bat Program, will share insights into bat behavior, echolocation, conservation challenges, and the vital role bats play in supporting healthy ecosystems.
As dusk settles over Picnic Point, we’ll walk to the end of the point for bat-emergence viewing and a low-light acoustic survey, where participants can listen for and observe bats as they begin their nighttime activities. Discover the hidden world of these remarkable nocturnal creatures and experience nature after dark in a whole new way.
