The Michigan Museums Association seeks proposals for a Slide Sprint session to take place during our annual conference. The conference will be October 19-21, 2026 in the Oakland County area. The Slide Sprint session will be held at the Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac Conference Center on the morning of Wednesday, October 21 during the general session.
A Slide Sprint presentation is very similar to a Pecha Kucha presentation, consisting of 20 slides that automatically advance at 20-second intervals, resulting in a concise 6-minute, 40-second presentation. Our Slide Sprint session will feature three people presenting on the conference theme. Our theme of Stronger Together: Empowering the Michigan Museum Community is very broad and there are many different ways it can be interpreted. Feel free to get creative!
Slide Sprint presentation proposals must be submitted online via SurveyMonkey by the end of day on August 6th. Final selection and notification will take place by August 13th. All session presenters are expected to register for the conference and acceptance of proposals is dependent upon this expectation.
