Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. Your feedback today will help a coalition of charities and community and voluntary organisations shape an upcoming public awareness campaign around the value and impact of the charity, community and voluntary sector. We are asking you to tell us what you think of the draft concepts for the campaign. Your opinion is vital to ensuring this is an inclusive and flexible campaign that’s truly for the sector and by the sector.
The Goals of the Campaign
1. Increase public understanding of the work of charities and community and voluntary organisations in Ireland
2. Improve the narrative around our sector in the media and among the public
3. Celebrate the important work we do. Boost morale and create a positive shared message for people who work and volunteer in the sector

A Few Things to Keep in Mind
- These draft concepts are just that, drafts. They’re not the finished campaign, they are ideas we will continue to tweak and adapt based on your feedback. It is very important to us that you build this campaign with us – as you are the experts on the ground.
- The main audience for this campaign is the general public, so any messaging we put out there has to have broad appeal and avoid sector jargon or niche messages that the public may struggle to connect with.
- We want organisations and individuals across the sector to join this campaign, so think about whether or not you see yourself in it, and how you could adapt it for your own social media or events.
- The Campaign Steering Group has big ambitions for this campaign, we want it to address misconceptions about the sector and promote the great work we do, but that won’t happen overnight or with one snappy slogan. Keep in mind that these concepts are just the starting point of a multi-phase campaign. The stories we tell and the campaign we build around them is what will actually shift the narrative about our sector.
- In time, we will be able to tackle some of the more complex areas and conversations about how the sector operates, but it's important we meet the general public where they are, warming up the audience, before jumping in on the hard-hitting messages.
The survey should take only 5 minutes to complete and the closing date is 3pm on Thursday 19 August
