It can cause headaches, alter your energy level, effect concentration, trigger behavior or immune response, increase the risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease.Section 1 – When eating food that is not natural makes it hard for the body to digest and receive the nutrients needed. The FDA does not require labeling of genetically modified foods.Section 2 – The FDA will enact this law. The penalty will be a fine of $100,000 and the product will be marked as “Unnatural”.Section 3 – This will be funded by a 1% tax increase. Bill S96 – Drug Price ReliefBe it enacted by this student congress that drug prices will be lowered.Section 1 – A majority of the American population is being burdened with over-priced drugs. Section 2 – This law will be enforced by establishing a limit on the price to be charged for prescription drugs.Section 3 – Pharmaceutical companies not adhering to the law will be taken to court. A Bill to Abolish Animal TestingBe it enacted by this HSHP Congress that animal testing be stopped and replaced with an alternative method.Section 1 – Each year, more than 100 million animals, including frogs, mice, dogs, cats, etc, are killed for research in U.S. laboratories. While this is happening, alternative methods are available, like artificial human skin, vitro text methods, cell structures, and computerized drug databases.Section 2 – The law will be enforced through annual inspections of the testing departments and should be carried out by PETA. The minimum punishment will be a 2 year prison sentence and the maximum will be a $100, 000 fine. A Bill to Minimize the of Sodas and Other Sugary DrinksBe it enacted that the intake of sodas and sugary drinks is at a high rate in the United States and ways to cut down on the intake is necessary.Section 1 – The law will add a penny per ounce tax to all sodas and sugary drinks to encourage U.S. citizens to stop drinking them.Section 2 – Distributors of sugary drinks will be required to produce and sell 1 healthy drink for every sugary drink it produces and sells.Section 3 – This law will not require federal funding.
