Tour Information

In early spring of 2016, 40 STEM Ambassadors will embark on one of two Learning Tours to learn about the challenges and successes of STEM education in three communities across Washington state. We want you to be one of those STEM Ambassadors!

We're looking for a wide variety of educators, STEM industry leaders, parents and students, legislators, community leaders, and other key stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to join us on the tour. Participants will share promising practices and problem solve challenges, dialogue in depth with other invested STEM ambassadors, and advance our commitment to equity in STEM education.

Here are the basics:

Puget Sound Learning Tour: all day February 18-19, 2016 (South King County, Tacoma, & Bremerton)
Statewide Learning Tour: all day March 16-18, 2016 (Vancouver, Yakima, & Spokane)

NOTE:  At this time all slots on each Tour are FULL. If you apply you we can put you on our waitlist.

Participants will be asked to attend the entire length of the Tours. We'll be providing food, simple accommodations, and bus travel from point to point. For the Statewide Learning Tour, we'll provide a small travel stipend to get you to the starting point and/or from the ending point of the trip.

If you're part of the Statewide Learning Tour, you will be asked to participate in a few follow up events to build on the momentum of the tour. These events include:
* participating in a Town Hall in your community to share your experiences with others
* participating in outreach to media
* meeting with elected officials to talk about STEM education

Please fill out the following questions to be considered for the Tours. We will be selecting our participants on a rolling basisWe hope to see you on the bus!
