The following survey aims to obtain community feedback on several pending issues: (1) the community's opinion on short term rentals such as Airbnbs, (2) the community's opinion on Community Advisory Council's plan to use social media such as Facebook and Twitter as an additional mode of communication with the community, (3) the community's opinion on Community Advisory Council's plan to host discussion panels on community issues; (4) the community's opinion on unsightly properties. All responses are anonymous.

The current University Endowment Lands (UEL) bylaws allow no more than 3 unrelated people living in one single family home, but without any reference to the duration of rentals (ie. short-term rentals, like Airbnb, are permitted under existing UEL bylaws). The Community Advisory Council would like to know if the community would favour restricting rentals to longer-terms in the single family areas (ie. longer than one month).  How much do you agree with the following statements?

To increase the efficiency of this process, the Community Advisory Council is considering using social media as an alternative means to contact the community.

* 20. Unsightly properties are dangerous and pose building safety concerns in the UEL area. "Unsightly properties" is any property which has items that are decayed, deteriorated, demolished or in a state of disrepair: bagged waste not kept in rodent-proof containers, overgrown grass, construction material and debris not stored appropriately or in a neat and tidy manner, lack of exterior maintenance to buildings/structures, broken or boarded-up windows, derelict vehicles or waste dumped or stored on the property and/or graffiti on private property. Please indicate your opinion on unsightly properties.
