FM 179 Roadway Rehabilitation Project

The Texas Department of Transportation's (TxDOT) Lubbock District is seeking your feedback on proposed improvements to the FM 179 roadway. The proposed project extends approximately 1.8 miles from US 62 to FM 1585. The improvements consist of reconstructing and widening the existing roadway to add a two-way left turn bay, structure replacement, and the installation of a signal and lighting. Comments must be received by Friday, Jan. 9, 2026 to be included in the official meeting summary.
