Techie Camp Student Application

With support from SciTech, TECH CORPS will implement four Techie Camp® programs in Dayton this summer! Each camp will enroll up to 20 students.

Techie Camp is a full-day, week-long summer experience designed specifically for rising 3rd - 8th grade students. The goal of Techie Camp is to engage students in activities that can stimulate a deeper interest in technology as well as provide opportunities for them to express their imaginations. Students can take a "deep dive" into Programming, Robotics, App Development or Web Development.  Each camp is comprised of 20 students and led by two TECH CORPS Instructors.

Below are details about these SciTech sponsored camps:

Topics -
Robotics: Students dive into engineering, programming and robotics with Lego Mindstorms EV3s! After learning how to build and program a few robots, students use their inner creativity to design and build the ultimate robot!

App Development: Students explore the world of mobile app development as they learn how to use media and sensors in an android cell phone to build a functioning app. Students will then be challenged to create their own app!

Programming: Students use Scratch to learn the concepts of computer programming. They will create their own interactive art, stories and games on the computer!
