1. Participant information sheet

We would like to invite you to participate in the evaluation of a new series of resources developed for foster parents, designed to provide practical strategies to assist in the management of your children's behaviour.

As a result of the generous support from the Eureka Benevolent Foundation, Dr Sara McLean from the Australian Centre for Child Protection has developed a series of resources for foster parents who are supporting children with developmental difference and who may display behavioural or social concerns.

We are now circulating select resources for review and would value your feedback. The aim of this project is to develop a series of free downloadable resources to assist foster parents with a range of topics related to children’s behaviour. These resources have been developed with input from foster parents. We are now seeking feedback about these resources from a larger group of foster parents.

Participation is voluntary and will involve selecting a resource to review, reading the resource and answering a brief, anonymous survey about whether you found the resource useful and informative. Further, we would like your views on whether the language and presentation were acceptable and your views on potential changes to improve the resources.

Reviewing the resource and answering the brief questionnaire is anticipated to take around 30 minutes to complete.

Your participation in this research will be confidential, and participation in this research will in no way impact upon the services or supports that you may be accessing through any organisations.

It is not anticipated that there are any risks to participation in this study beyond those encountered during everyday life.

All records containing personal information will remain confidential and no information which could lead to identification of any individual will be released, unless required by law.
