Proserpine Visitor Services Survey: Business Impacts & Tourism Opportunities |
Proserpine Visitor Services – Business Feedback Survey
The Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Proserpine Sub-Committee has created this survey to assess the business impacts of the:
- Proserpine RV Park closure;
- Visitor Information Centre closure; and
- To explore new tourism opportunities for Proserpine and the region
The RV Park was closed due to unviable upgrade costs on leased land. Council has since shifted focus to developing Proserpine Dam as a tourism asset, which targets day visitors—unlike the RV Park’s transient travellers who regularly supported local businesses.
More recently, the Proserpine Visitor Information Centre at Whitsunday Gold closed.
Both closures appear to have occurred with little to no forward notice or consultation with the business community and may have impacted tourism visibility and visitor flow into the township.
This survey aims to gather ideas, evidence, and data from local businesses to help advocate for practical solutions that boost visitation and support the Proserpine economy.
This survey takes less than 15 minutes and is tailored specifically to local business priorities. All responses will be aggregated — no individual business data will be shared in the final report.
