Thank you for your interest in the position of Associate Editor.
The Editor-in-Chief of Progress in Transplantation seeks an interested professional in transplantation who would like to be involved in the manuscript submission process. The Associate Editor is assigned manuscripts to appoint peer reviewers, and based on reviewer input, determines rejection or revision status of a manuscript. The Associate Editor also critiques manuscripts for appropriate science content, format, style (grammar included) to guide authors in developing scholarly articles for publication.
There is much to learn on the publication side of science, but if you are interested in developing the skills, this role can prepare you to take on a journal leadership role.
The Associate Editor must be/become a member of NATCO, have a background in leading research studies and writing for publication, be fluent with all Microsoft Office 365 products, and possess the willingness to become fluent in the online submission site.
