As a person dedicated to working with people with behavioral health issues, it can be difficult to provide services during this pandemic.  We at the Allegheny County Department of Human Services Office of Behavioral Health, Allegheny HealthChoices, Inc. (AHCI) and Community Care realize that it’s equally difficult to provide the necessary care for yourself.  That’s why, in recognition of May being Mental Health Awareness Month, we’ve partnered to bring you a series of informative webinars titled “Taking Care of Yourself while Taking Care of Others” to bring you tips and techniques from Community Care experts aimed at enabling you to practice self-care and avoid burnout during the COVID-19 crisis. These webinars will provide advice on practicing proper sleep hygiene, staying socially connected throughout the pandemic, getting enough exercise, eating healthy and practicing mindfulness to stay grounded. They are designed to be short (no longer than 30 minutes) and are pre-recorded so that you can watch them at any time.  Thank you for continuing to provide necessary care to those who need it most, during the pandemic and year-round.
