HAVE YOUR SAY

When the Port Douglas Waterfront Master Plan and the associated Landscape Design Guide were done by the previous Council, one of the key themes to emerge from the community consultation was that Macrossan Street needed to be revitalised.

You can view the documents HERE , but some ideas included changing the car parking to enable much wider footpaths, and/or to allow for a significant “green spine” of large tropical trees to visually link the street to Rex Smeal park.

As some time has passed, Council has prepared a survey to help gauge whether the community still has an appetite for revisiting the design of Macrossan Street. You can complete the survey [here – insert link] and responses are requested by 30 Sept 2018.

The results of the survey will be published on Council’s website.
