2026 Essentials of Chapter Leadership Funding Assistance Application |

ALA’s Essentials of Chapter Leadership (ECL) is a virtual training event intended to provide chapter leaders with important instruction on chapter management as well as information on the importance of adhering to essential financial and legal responsibilities. ECL will also touch on strategies and resources for chapter leaders in leading volunteer leaders, member experience and successful chapter planning. The registration fee for this event is $525/chapter. This allows for all members of the chapter to register and attend.
The ALA Board of Directors understands that each chapter’s financial situation is different. Therefore, it has set aside funds to support those chapters who need assistance with the cost and will consider funding applications based on financial need.
Applications will be reviewed by the ALA Executive Committee. Decisions will be communicated to all applicants.
