Welcome & Instructions

Dear participant,

Thank you for deciding to participate in our online questionnaire on the Atlas of Torture!

The Atlas of Torture is a joint project of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights (BIM) and HURIDOCS. A beta version of the website and database was launched in June 2018 thanks to the funding of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). A crowdfunding campaign successfully raised further funds to develop the website into a global cooperation platform including a Projects & Activities Map and a Learning and Exchange Platform. For more detailed information on the Atlas of Torture website see the concept note.

In order to make the platform most valuable for its users we are conducting a consultation to collect your views and suggestions on how to best implement the ideas of the project.

The online questionnaire should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. It is not necessary to answer all the questions, but we would be happy to receive feedback on the issues most relevant to your work.

Should you have any questions or remarks, please do not hesitate to contact us! As contact person of the consultation, our Project Assistant Felix Steigmann will be glad to provide more information (contact: felix.steigmann@humanrights.at).

Thank you very much for your participation - we are looking forward to your feedback!
