Dear Colleague,
You are invited to participate in a survey-based project titled “The use of static computer-aided implant surgery (s-CAIS) among Australian and New Zealand dental professionals.” This study aims to examine dental practitioners’ knowledge, opinions, and previous experiences regarding implant surgery using a static surgical guide/stent.

The project is being conducted by Dr Seung Hyun Kim as a part of the degree of Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Periodontics) at the University of Adelaide, under the supervision of A/Prof Sushil Kaur, A/Prof Alan Broughton, Dr Andrew Cheng and Prof Richard Logan (HREC approval no: 2021-213).

To be eligible to participate in the survey you need to be a dental professional currently practicing in Australia or New Zealand. Implant experience is not essential.

This survey should take 5-10 minutes to complete, and your privacy will remain confidential throughout the project. There are no risks involved with completing this survey. Participation in this project is voluntary. Your consent to use and publish the results is implied upon completion of the survey, and you are free to withdraw at any point before completing the survey by closing the tab. Please note that removing your data is impossible once you have submitted the survey.

Upon completion of the survey, you may enter an optional draw for one of three $100 Woolworths gift vouchers. If you wish to enter the draw, please follow the prompts at the end of the survey which will open a separate page, where you will be asked to provide an email address. Receiving the email address will be taken as an indication of informed consent for the draw. On the 8th of July 2022, the three prize-winners will be chosen at random, and the gift vouchers will be sent to the email address provided, by researcher Dr Seung Hyun Kim. Email addresses received will not be used for any other purposes and will be stored securely. If you do not wish to enter this draw, pressing “done” on the final page will submit the survey (without participation in the draw).
Thank you kindly for your participation.
Yours sincerely,
Dr. Seung Hyun Kim and A/Prof Sushil Kaur
