Highland NAC Yard Tree Giveaway Registration Form

The Highland Neighborhood Association Committee (NAC) is giving away free trees!

Sunday, January 31st from 1 to 3 P.M.
Beaverton Christian Church parking lot, 13600 SW ALLEN BLVD
Enter on SW WILSON AVE

This will be a no-contact pick-up. A NAC volunteer will set out your tree. You will then load the tree and your mulch into your own vehicle. Once registration is complete, the NAC will send you a confirmation email within a couple of weeks of the event with more details about the process.

Limit 3 trees per household
Trees must be planted in yards inside the Highland neighborhood boundary (map)

* 1. Tree Pledge

Having a new tree comes with many rewards and also some responsibilities.

By checking this box, I pledge to:

•Free this tree from its container and plant it in the ground at the address provided below, following the instructions provided
•Plant my tree on private property and not in the public right-of-way
•Plant my tree no later than March 31, 2021 to ensure time for rooting before the dry season
•Ask permission from the property owner if I'm a renter
•Return the tree to the NAC if I cannot plant it
•Water my tree with 15 gallons of water each week from May to September for the first three years (most important the first year)
•Allow a NAC volunteer to check on the health of my tree for the first spring and summer
•Contact the NAC with any questions or concerns about my tree or how to care for it
•Keep the tree alive and in good health, to the best of my ability, as long as I am the property steward

Yard trees should be planted a minimum of 10 feet from your house, 5 feet from property lines, and 5 feet from a driveway or sidewalk.
