These awards celebrate achievements of the Universities participating at Najah Abu Dhabi 2017. The judging process allows all universities to compete on a level playing field with the winners being selected by the students.

If you intend on nominating your university for more than one category, please submit a separate form for each category. The University of the Year award will be awarded to the university with the highest nominations in all other categories.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS

The purpose of the 'Outstanding Support for the Students Award' is to provide recognition to a University who excels in supporting and providing a positive impact for their students. For example, this could include your university:
- Assisting students in the successful acclimatization of university life
- Providing tools to support/assist students
- Helping students achieve academic and/or personal success

OUTSTANDING EMPLOYER ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVE

The purpose of the 'Outstanding Support for the Students Award' is to provide recognition to a University who excels in supporting and providing a positive impact for their students. For example, this could include your university:
- providing you with guidance on how to make a resume/covering letter
- helping you with the preparation of an interview/assessment centre etc.
- supporting you to find and choose the right opportunities which reflect upon your experiential learning in the workplace

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES - CLUBS & SOCIETIES

The purpose of this Award is to provide recognition for the University who represent, support and enhance the lives of the students through Extracurricular Activities - Clubs & Societies. For example, this could include your university:
- welcoming the contribution made to student life by clubs and societies
- supporting a strong student government, where students determine their role in what happens on campus
- has gone beyond the bounds of their education remit by helping to create a positive campus environment for all students.

BEST CAMPUS FACILITIES AWARD

The 'Best Campus Facilities Award' will honour a University which has facilities that demonstrate excellence in a number of critical areas, including architectural design, functionality, and how well the facility meets its intended purpose. The winner is considered a standard or model by which other facilities should be measured, and from which others can benefit. For example, you university has:
- invested in new teaching facilities and is committed to providing world-class student experiences
- understood modern learning behaviors, preferences and styles
- provided a modern learning environment with excellent research facilities

OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AWARD

This award recognises the University that has made the most significant contribution to aid the wider community socially, culturally, through outstanding learning, student experience or through world class research. For example, this could include your university:
- encouraging students’ involvement within the wider community
- participating in service to the community beyond the campus
- demonstrating a commitment to the culture and issues of the community
